BOOK REVIEW || You're The One that I want by Giovanna Fletcher

You're The One that I want by Giovanna Fletcher

I've been a massive McFly fan since I heard their first hit '5 Colours in her hair' and have followed them ever since. When I heard Tom Fletcher had got married and Giovanna had written a book, I became interested. As a bookworm, there's nothing I love better than to get lost in a good book and so I read her first book 'Billy and me' and wanted to read her second.

Blurb

Maddy, dressed in white, stands at the back of the church. At the end of the aisle is Rob- the man she is about to marry. Next to Rob is Ben - best man and the best friend any two people ever had.

And that's the problem.

Because if it wasn't Rob waiting for her at the altar, there's a strong chance it would be Ben. Loyal and sensitive, Ben has always kept his feelings to himself, but if he turned around and told Maddy she was making a mistake, would she listen?

And would he be right?

Best friends since childhood, Maddy, Ben and Rob thought their bond was unbreakable.  But love changes everything.  Maddy has a choice to make but will she choose wisely? Her heart, and the hearts of the two best men she knows, depends on it . . .

My View

I loved this book, so much that it was hard for me to put down. Giovanna is a brilliant writer and can make you feel! I loved how sweet Ben is that he doesn't tell Maddy how he feels and when Rob steps in, he's heart broken but he's loyal to his friend all the way. The characters are all well written and their stories are easy to follow. I'm team Ben in this book all the way and really wanted Ben to get with Maddy during the first chapters of this book, as I read on I grew to love the character of Ben even more. I like the fact that no matter how Ben feels towards Maddy, he shows no resentment towards Rob. He feels heartbroken but tries to not let it affect the relationship he has with Maddy and Rob.  I have to admit, there were a few tears shed when I got to the final chapters of this book. I'm not spoiling it but when you read the final chapters, you see the love that Ben has for her.  I would recommend this book to everyone who wanted a good romantic story or a book that you can't put down. I was a big fan of her first novel 'Billy and Me' and also checking it out.
