10 reasons why I love Autumn

It's finally October which can only mean one thing . . .

It's officially Autumn.

It's time to leave Summer behind and stop worrying about getting sun burnt in the summer sun or whether or not we've applying enough sun cream to ourselves. Days are about to get shorter, the weather colder and evenings, darker.

Autumn is favourite season, I love this time of year. I'm ready for scarves, oversized jumpers and cosy evening. Here's 10 reasons why I'm Autumn ready...

1. AUTUMNAL CLOTHING

Jumpers, scarves, gloves, fluffy socks, slippers, jackets.... I love getting cosy! There's nothing better than layering up and hiding under a big scarf when there's an autumnal chill in the air.

2. AUTUMN LEAVES

I love walking amongst the leaves when they've fallen from a tree. I always try and find the biggest pile of leaves to walk through. I just love that crunching sound! Plus I love the colours of the leaves... those red, orange, yellow and brown leaves just let's you know that Autumn has arrived!

3. SEASONAL HOT DRINKS

This time of year means only one thing...seasonal hot drinks at your favourite chained coffee shops. The Autumn/Winter range is always a must! Plus it also means the release of their seasonal designed take away cups!

4. HALLOWEEN

I've not been celebrating Halloween that long but this is something I've begun looking forward to each year when summer has ended. Its the perfect excuse to get dressed up and experiment with make up! Plus I've never seen Hocus Pocus so this is something I'll be doing this year as well as carving my first pumpkin!

5. DARK COSY EVENINGS

Another thing I love about autumn. It's the perfect excuse to get cosy and into your pyjamas as soon as you've come home for work, lounge on the sofa with a mug of hot tea and watch a film on the TV.

6. FIREWORKS

In the town where I live, we have an evening where there is a firework display that takes place at the end of the pier. I love getting all dressed up in layers and layers of clothing and sitting on the beach watching the display of fireworks.

7. RAINY DAYS/DUVET DAYS

I love listening to the sound of the rain from inside my home. I like being all snuggled up in the warmth whilst the rain is hitting against the window. I love being all snuggled up in bed knowing I don't have to get out. Plus the clocks go back, so that means an extra hour of sleep!

8. AUTUMNAL MAKE UP

Say goodbye to those bright summer shades and say hello to those reds, yellows, orange, brown and gold autumnal shades. I love a red lipstick but feel that I can wear darker shades of reds or adventure to a plum colour during the autumn season.

9. CANDLES

Since moving in to a house of my own, I've discovered a love for candles. I'm looking forward to getting some autumnal scented ones, lighting up the living room!

10. CHRISTMAS IS AROUND THE CORNER!!

With the darker evenings and the weather getting colder. It can only mean one thing. Yes, Christmas is around the corner. I can't wait for the whole town to be lit up with fairy lights and the carols being sung whilst your rushing around town buying gifts for loved ones. I love the whole spirit of Christmas and getting prepared for the big day.
