You aren't Alone |The Anxiety Diaries

I've always struggled with anxiety for as long as I can remember, I would always worry about silly things which then lead to me overthinking about it, making it a thousand times worse.

When Anxiety sets in, not a lot can be done to help your mind, get out of that mindset. There are lots of things you can do to help yourself, in order to cope with anxiety such as focusing on your breathing.  When your heart starts beating faster and you can feel yourself beginning to panic, breathing can be hard, when your mind has gone from zero to a million in a matter of seconds. You can feel yourself start to sweat and your heart is literally beating out of your chest. Calming yourself down when you've gotten yourself into this state can be very hard and some times impossible.

There are many things that I do to try and help my anxiety. This can be with coping with anxiety or preventing anxiety from occurring and thankfully are working. Anxiety can be sneaky and sometimes someone is suffering silently. Anxiety doesn't have to be loud, many people that suffer with anxiety feel like they can't talk about what they are going through and wear a 'face' that they show to the outside, pretending that all is alright. Not letting anyone know that actually they are suffering. Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean its not happening. I know that when I'm having a moment with my anxiety, I can put on a smile and say that I'm fine, when actually my mind is going crazy and I'm far from fine.  It's easier to pretend everything is fine rather than try and explain how you are feeling when you aren't even sure how you are feeling.

There are good days and bad days when you suffer with any kind of mental health. The good days can feel amazing. You feel like you've won the battle and now continue to conquer the world. Life seems like it can't go wrong, but then anything can happen to make the scales tip and a bad day can seem like the world is ending. A constant battle raging inside your head. Depression says you don't care enough anymore, what the point in continuing. Anxiety cares too much, leaving your heart racing and your mind in a spin. It's a never ending battle.

You are never alone. Everyone one at some point in their life will experience mental health. Whether you choose to seek professional help or manage it on your own, you aren't the only one going through something. There are other people out there suffering with anxiety, depression or an eating disorder. You aren't alone, it's okay to not be okay.
